The precursors Dias ExplorationBartholomew the ocean and the Portuguese Vasco Da GamaThe were often credited as some of history & rsquo; the most courageous explorers of the institution if the route of the spice in India is in this country & rsquo; accreditation of s. What has driven much exploration of the seas during the early years was a desire to gain better access to a resource nell'est rich in spices. In its search to find such a route, Bartholomew Dias has been good for the first European to navigate around the southern-most tip of Africa most. Dias who was first called the head & ldquo; Cape of Storms & rdquo, and while the explorers have not made it all the way east on their journey 1488, have not been forgotten ever for their ability to be the first European to sail around the tip of the African continent. The Vasco Da Gama succeeded in his quest to create the best route of spice to the Portuguese and, in 1498, reached Calicut in India. The stories of his cruel treatment of people living in places along the route are cooling, but his victory was demanding the best possible route of the spice in the name of the Portuguese. This route to the sea was very perfidious that the headline on the ground throughout Asia and gave Portugal the last advantage in trade in the fifteenth and XVIesimi centuries. Christopher ColumbusBy 1493, Italian Christopher Columbus was convinced that a faster route could be found traveling east to west. What did result was a discovery that changed forever the face of geography in the world. When could not convince his own compatriots of his theory, Columbus has moved to Spain and was able to convince the authorities set up a fund for its dispatch. He set sail in August 1492 and was in the Bahamas in only ten weeks, which has mistakenly believed to be Japan. Further west when the voyagers have reached Cuba, were convinced that they have found and China have moved towards internal & ldquo; India & rdquo;. People from that dark complexion met soon was identified & ldquo; Indians & rdquo; and Columbus returned to Europe victorious in his successful identification of the route to riches quicker Europe. Columbus has postponed its three eastern times during the rest of his life exploring Jamaica, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and Trinidad. He died believing he had found the route east of scarcity, not sapente that never actually had discovered something much, much more important. MagellanFerdinand Ferdinand Magellan was not discouraged by the subsequent discovery of Columbus & rsquo; real failure to find a route to West and east to within 1519 to show that could be done. Although Portugal, Magellan has taken this journey with the sailing of the Spanish and protection in 1519. The five vessels in the party have accommodated 260 men who had no idea where they are going while Magellan has also believed that they were too frightened to continue. A massive storm along the coast of South America has forced ships to try and cover Magellan discovered as a & entry; ndash; completely accidentally. The Strait of Magellan, but now is known, offers a route through the South American continent the Pacific Ocean on the other side. With a ship that left the journey, Magellan and its four other ships have suffered extreme difficulties on the Pacific Ocean and only 18 of the 260 men made it back to Spain three years later. The journey has passed through the Philippines where Magellan himself was killed in battle over east where the ships were loaded with spices. Victoria continued toward the West and did so again to Spain, while all other vessels were lost at sea. The route of the West spice discovered by Magellan and his team has not been used for many years, thanks to the result that perfidious had for many men on board. Instead of discovering new route of the spice, Magellan is actually credited captaining the first Circumnavigation of the globe, a feat more impressive by miles. The modern exploration of the ocean explorers the ocean has not stopped ever by the great explorers of the fifteenth and XVIesimi centuries, but simply has evolved to become more thorough, competitive and adventurous. Since the beginning of the twentieth century, most of the earth & rsquo;'s water had been explored and the ocean races have turned into more about the annotations of adjustment that discovering new places. The year was 1895 when American Joshua Slocum pointed out to become the first man to sail alone around the world. It was argued during the three-year journey storing up on supplies from the islands along the road and his safe return home in 1898 has cemented his place in history books. The following person to improve this remark was Sir Francis Chichester in 1967 who has directed around the ability of the world that required only a stop on a journey of a length of years on board the butterflies Zingaresca. He was a British counterpart, Robin Knox-Johnston who, twelve years later, finally managed to circumnavigate the world without stopping & ndash; in a lightning fast 312 days. In 1988, Kat Cottee has been good for first woman to sail alone and nonstop around the world in a best time of only 189 days. So far, the only all travel faster registered to circumnavigate the globe has been presented recently as 2008. Francis Joyon, a Frenchman for 51 years, climbed aboard his red Trimaran Idec dell'autopompa fire 98ft and reappeared later around the world just 57 days. This took 14 days off the bulky previous remark that was held by the fastest female sailor in the history of yachting, Dame Ellen McArthur.
